Stock Exchange and Columns, St Petersburg, Russia
View of the Old St Petersburg Stock Exchange (or Bourse) and two Rostral Columns, from across the River Neva. The dome of St Isaac Cathedral can be seen on the horizon on the left. The Exchange was built between 1805 and 1810 in Greek Revivalist style, inspired by the Greek Temple of Hera at Paestum. The Rostral Columns, intended to serve as beacons, were completed in 1811
