Trial of Henri Landru, French serial killer
Trial (at Versailles in November 1921) of Henri Desire Landru (1869-1922), French serial killer, nicknamed The Bluebeard of Gambais by the French press. He had killed at least ten women and a young man between December 1914 and January 1919. The number of victims was probably higher, and their remains were never found. He was found guilty and executed
