Selim III - Sultan of the Ottoman Empire
The Grand Seignior. He is Selim III (1761-1808), Sultan of the Ottoman Empire from 1789 to 1807. Son of Mustafa III (1757-74), he succeeded his uncle Abdulhamid I (1774-89). His attempts to reform the Ottoman Empire ended with his assassination
