May 05, 1969 - 150th, ANNIVERSARY OF BURLINGTON ARCADE, Some of the colour and ;style of Regency London was recaptured today when The Duke and Duchees of KnightebriOW in costume of the period, drove in an open horse-drawl landau from Knightsbridge to the Burlington Arcade, After being received at the Hyde Park Hotel where the, were entertained by Mt. Wilbraham, the hotel manager, they left the hotel and the landau followed the route taken by titled ladies of Knightsbridge Village in 1819 when going.hopping in the Burlington Arcade, proceeding along Piccadilly to Curses Street and thence to Burlington Gardens, arriving at the northern entrance et the Arcade. The Duke and Duchess of Knightsbridge better known to thous.s of people all over the world as Mr, Bentsen Turner and Mies Lila Turner of N. Peal (37, Burlington Arcade) were being met by Mr, Leslie Liseaner of Kettner, s, who celebrated their arrival by a champagne tonet, Eminent visitors to N. Peal have included Queen Yrederioa of Greece, King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie of Greene, King Frederik of Denmark, Queen Sikirtt at Thailand, etc, etc, .
