Aug. 29, 1953 - Burl Ives arrives in London by air; Bur Ives, the famous folk singer, arrived at London Airport this morning from Ireland. The new Burl Ives is two stone slimmer than his usual 22, but he must peel off another 4 stone from his mighty frame before shooting can begin on the new John Hustom film, in which he plays a 17th century minstrel. He is here to see his tailot so that his wardrobe can be altered to fit the new dimensions. He will leave London for New York onSept. 2nd.
