Feb. 02, 1954 - At 86 he began a 10 year film career, now at 100; he asks for something to do: Mr. Alfred Emson, M.B.E. a retired tailor who began a ten year career as a film extra at 86, celebrated his 100th. birthday yesterday. At home yesterday, he said :'After No Highway they seemed to think i was too old at the studios'. A family party celebrated his birthday yesterday. But, he says Mr. Emson, I get bored staring at the fire. i wish there was something i could do'. Photo shows Mr. Alfred Emson seen at his home at Chiswick yesterday
