1957 - Seventy nine to wed twenty seven The forthcoming marriage has been announced between wealthy property owner, seventy nine year old Mr. Frederick Roberts and twenty seven year old ex-showgirl and model Velia Dawes. Mr. Roberts first saw Miss Dawes on a calendar she was wearing a swimsuit. They met at Mr. Roberts Park Lane flat about a year ago. Mr. Robert was formerly married to an ex A.T.S. officer.
