May 05, 1959 - Castle Fuschl converted into a hotel: The re-opening of the castle hotel Fuschl in the Salzkammergut ( part of the Austrian Alps), 17 kilometers away from Salzburg, was a social event. The new owner Consul Carl Adolf Vogel (Carl Adolf Vogel) the salt baron of Reichenhall, had (on May 15th) invited about 300 people to the former hunting castle of the Salzburg Prince Archbishops, which he converted into a modern, exclusive holiday paradise. Belonging to the property are Lake Fuschl, a hunting ground of 3500 hectares, a 35 kilometers long trout fishing water, two farms and three cottages.
