Aug. 08, 1959 - Robert Stevenson leaves for Rome.: With the completion of shooting on Walt Disney's latest production Kidnapped, British-born director Robert Stevenson, left London Airport today for his home in California, where he plans to take a well-earned holiday with his wife and 12-year old son. At the airport to see him off was actress Venetia Stevenson, the daughter of his first marriage to screen star Anna Lee. Venetia was born in England but was taken to the U.S.A. while still tiny baby when her father emigrated to accept a ten year contract with David O. Selznick. Her return trip to England two months ago was Stevenson's 21st. birthday present to his daughter who plans to stay on in this country for a few months to fulfil film and TV commitments.
