1969 - Hole-In-The- Heart Ronald Meets His Hero His Pre-Operation Ambition Is Realised: A seven-year-old boy with a hole in his heart had one big ambition he wanted fulfilled before he undergoes a major operation for his condition. Ronald Taylor of Hackney, wanted to meet Wyatt Earp, Western hero of a hundred adventures on television and cinema screen. When Wyatt came to London for his Western Show now on at the Odeon, Tottenham Court Readl there as no stopping little Ronald from dressing up in his Wyatt Earp costume which he had given him as a Christmas present, and presenting himself at the stage door. Of course, Ronald found himself just one of a crowd of about 100 youngsters who constantly hang round there in the hope of seeing Wyatt in the flash. But Ronnie was lucky. Someone heard he was there, patiently waiting, and word went up to Wyatt. A message came down, had within minutes Ronald, to the envy of those outside, was shown his six-shooter, his belt and cowboy hat and all the other gear of his trade. Now, Ronald, a small boy from Hackney, will go to hospital for his operation, satisfied that he has seen his hero, talked with him, and even held his gun
