Nov. 11, 1959 - Self made kitchen for 300 Marka: The consumer's centre in their Hamburg rooms showed a self made kitchen. All parts of it were almost useless before, but with bright colour and nimble hands, old tables and shelves changed into a friendly and practical kitchen. Buying the old parts cost 60 marks (about £5) and the expenses for colour and pay for the workmen were 240 Marks about £20. This proves that a newly married couple does not have to spend 1000 Marks for nice kitchen furniture.
