Dec. 12, 1959 - Jayne Mansfield is involved in Police car crash but it is all part of her new film: Shots were made last night for the new film The challenge, starring Jayne Mansfield, Anthony Quayle, and Carl Mohner. In this new suspense thriller, 37 year old Joe Powell, ex commando, ex parachutist, in his capacity as stunt man for the film, plays the part of a driver of a police car which is following a robbery car driven by Jayne Mansfield. As the pace gets hotter, the police car gets into a skid and overturns. This is no easy task, but Joe has been in the stunt business for fourteen years, and knows his job. The challenge is an Alexandra production is directed by John Gilling, who also wrote the script, and is produced by John Temple Smith.
