Dec. 17, 1959 - Alt - Heiselberg bestseller for half a century will be performed as a film for the first time on Dec. 21st. in Heidelberg. (This is the third time the story has been filmed). The bitter sweet love story of the crown prince Karl Heinrich of Sachsen Karlsburg and the daughter of an inn-keeper in Heidelberg, Kathi was first published as novel Karl Heinrich by Wilhelm Meyer Forster. A play was made based on the novel, called Alt Heidelberg, and it was a great success not only on the German stage. Two films followed (in 1922 and 1928) and now the third film was made about this story.
