Apr. 17 Rainstorm by the pipeful.. A Maori village of over a hundred years ago: Work is now in progress at the J Arthur Rank Studios on the new film The Seekers a story of the Empire Builders of the early 19th century. What the film goer does not see is this scene of how the technicians produce at Rainstorm with the background of Maoris in their native village of over a hundred years ago. The rainstorm is produced by sprinklers beneath which the cameramen and technicians operate while wearing sou'westers and raincoats and umbrellas. The film stars Jack Hawkins and the sensational dancer Laya Raki who plays the role of Moana a native girl
