Feb. 28 The final scene in the film. Col, Van Dyke (Gregory Peck ) shakes hands with pretty Marianne Koch who plays the part of the kidnapped G.I's German fiancee. Looking on are Ted Avery (left) as the G.I. and Broderick Crawford who plays the G.I's wealthy father. The G.I has been got break to the Western Zone unharmed by a clever ruse thought up b the colonel. Gregory Peck stars in New American film made in Berlin: All exterior shots for the new 20th Century Fox film, Night people have been been made in the streets of Berlin and the interiors will be shot later in the studios on Hollywood. The story of the film is highly topical vased on the struggle between East and West Germany and is directed by Nunnally Johnson. A young G.I, (Ted Avery), is engaged to a German girl (Marianne Koch). Returning to barracks one night in the Western Zone a stranger asks him for a light and as the C.I gives it, he is knocked and smuggled away into Eastern Zone in a car. Incident is seen by a German woman who tells the Military Police. The Provost Marshal, lt. Coll.Van Dyke Gregory Peck) contacts the Soviet Military Government who claim ignorance of the incident. The G.J.'s father, (Broderick Crawford), a wealthy American business man with influence in political circles, flied to Berlin and failing to get satisfaction through official channel contacts a mamber of the underground in the Soviet sector (Anita Bjoerk) who says the G.I. will be released is man and when this man, a former member of the East Zone underground hears of this he telephones Col. Van Dyke and tells him that Hoffy really working for the Russians. Unfortunately Van Dyke has fallen in Love wkth the beautiful Hoffy. By a clever ruse he gets the G'Y.back without handling over the two Germans to the Soviets. The main scenes of the film were made on Kurfuerstedon at the zonal Border of Berlin
