1960-1969 Actor - Actress

Feb. 02, 1960 - A beggar - almost as genuine as a genuine one: In the film based on the Edgar Wallace novel The red circle (Der rote Kreis), Eddi Arent - left - takes the part of the zealous police sergeant Haggett who does not even mind going through the Streets of London disguised as a beggar, wanting to discover the Red Circle'. In order to test the effect of his costume, Eddi Arent went through the streets of the outstrikes of Copenhagen where the film was made in the Palladium studios. Some passers - by threw coins into his hat, but one gentleman stopped, talked for some time to the beggar and then went on. Eddi did nor understand a single word of what the Dane said, but he had the impression that the man was telling him off. Our picture shows this scene. The film is directed by Jurgen Roland and will soon be seen in Germany
