Sep. 26, 1961 - Rita Fendt goes to the Near East. Those who think that the girl on the stage of the Munich famous Platzl - attraction for all tourists is only a folkloric singer, will be mistaken Rita Fendt who played already in smaller roles on TV will how on invitation of the Goethe Institute, start for a tournament through the Orient where she wants to demonstrate - together with her colleagues - Bavarian folklore and temperament. It's a fact that Rita was to sign contracts for American stages and TV productions, but, so far, she did not want to leave her Upper Bavarian Country. But now, on Oct. 1st, she will start for her tournament, and when she returns she will probably have had success in the following countries; Turkey, Syria, Persia, India, Ceylon, Egypt and Cyprus
