Mar. 03, 1961 - Britain's Belinda Lee - killed in car crash. Her fiance - Gualtiero Jacopetti is injured: British screen star Belinda Lee (26) was killed last night in a 100 m.p.h. car crash on the desert highway between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The Station wagonin which she and three Italian film men were riding - blew a rear Tyre plunged into a ditch - and cart wheeled into the desert. Belinda Lee was thrown 63 ft. from the car - and died fifteen minutes later in the arms of a Highway patrol man. The three Italians were taken to hospital suffering from injuries. They are:- Gualtiero Jacopetti, 41 year old Rome Film director - who claimed he was Miss Lee's fiance; Nini Falenga (43) of Hollywood, driver of the car - and Paola cavara (34).
