Mar. 03, 1963 - Rome, March 1963 - Gidget Goes to Rome is the film actually shooted in Rome, by a troupe of young new american actors; it is the story of Gidget (Cindy Carol) her boyfriend Jeff and their friends who arrive in Rome and set off to see the eights with Daniela a pretty young guide. Through a series of misunderstanding Gidget is brought before the American Embassy for attempting to destroy valuable art treasures and for stealing jewelry and fashion secrets by impersonating a model at a fashion show.
