May 23, 1960 - Sir Laurence Olivier seeks divorce from wife Vivien Leigh; Reports from New York State that Sir Laurence Olivier is seeking a divorce from his wife Vivien Leigh in order to marry actress Miss Joan Plowright. Sir Laurence is 53 and Miss Plowright who is 28 appears with Sir Laurence in a London Play Rhinoceros'. Vivien Leigh is 46. Joan Plowright is married to actor Roger Cage but they have been separated for about two years. Vivien Leigh is now starring in Duel of Angels on Broadway.
