Adapted from a best-selling novel by Goncourt-Prize winner Robert Merle, the action centers around the evacuation of English soldiers out of Dunkerque in June 1940. Besides Jean-Paul Belmondoo, the film feature Catherine Spaak, Pierre Mondy and Francois Perrier.
