Oct. 10, 1962 - Amazon Army on a Film Set: Nine Army girls --- average height 5ft. 11 ins. -- went into action with rifles and machine guns on a film set in Leeds yesterday. All had answered an advertisement for extras to play Army women in Liberation Army Scenes for the film Billy Liar which stars Tom Courtenay.
