Aug. 08, 1967 - An Airship Underson trials in Britain but only for the film Chitty Bang Bang An Airship specially built for the film musical Chitty Bang Bang, based on children's stories bythe late Ian Bond Fleming, caused quite a stir when it appeared over a field at Turville, in Buckinghamshire, where the film is being shot. The Board of Trade gave permission for the ship to operate Provided it was kept in check by a group of men hanging on to guy-ropes. Photo shows Actor Lionel Jeffries who stars in the film is seen hanging on toone of the guy-ropes attatched to the airship during the shooting of the film at Turville yesterday
