May 05, 1966 - Dan Blocker in London: On television, actor Dan Blocker - all 20 stone and six feet four - and a half inches of him is cowboy Hoss Cartwright - in the Bonanza series. but off screen. Like when he sqeezed his massive frame into a chair in the London Palladium's star dressing room yesterday - and talked of poetry, literature and teaching. The fact is, he has an M.A. degree in English Literature. And he said: about four years ago I tried to go back to my old job of teaching but it would have been impossible. I wouldn't have been teacher but Hoss and that's no good in the classroom. He is in Britain - his first visit here - to be filmed in colour on the Palladium stage for showing in America.
