Dec. 12, 1966 - Joan Crawford at Variety Club's Xmas Toy Collection Luncheon.: Twenty toys, selected by Solfridge's as being donated the best of their large Christmas range, were donated to the Variety Club at today's Variety Club of Great Britain;s Christmas Luncheon at the Savey hotel. The toys, which will be given to hospitals orphanages and homes, were received on the Club's behalf by the international as sen personality, Miss Joan Crawford, she Luncheon a Guest of Honour who accepted the toys from Solfridge's Father Christmas The gifts were donated by Howard McClean Managing Director of Selfridges and a member of Variety Club.
