Oct. 10, 1967 - Scenes For Film Monsieur Lecoq Filmed at Cliveden: Stars Zero Mostel and shapely Julie Newmar, feature in the Lavish 1919-period scenes for the hectic colour comedy, Monsieur Lecoq, being shot at Clivaden, the Astor family ancestral home. A crowd of 200, dressed as spectators, police guard of honour, police band and soldiers, take part in the two major sequences, one, where Mostel, as M.Lecoq is ceremoniously decorated with the Legion of Merit and two, where a less jubilant M.Lacoq is court martialled and stripped of all decorations and badges of rank.plus parts of his uniform.Both scenes are set in the massive courtyard behind the mansion.
