Jul. 14, 1969 - Franco Nero arrives to star in new film.: Italian actor Franco Nero who is to have the starring role of the gypsy in the new Dimitri De Grunwald film of D.H. Lawrence's novvel The Virgin and the Gypsy, which starts filming at Matlock, Derbyshire on July 21st, arrived at London Airport today. France Nero first hit the interntional scene as Sir Lancelot in Camelot opposite Vanessa Redgrave as Guinever. Since then he has made countless films in his native Italy and A place in the country which again found his starring with Vanessa Redgrave.
