Dec. 12, 1970 - Actress accuses millionaire. Victoria Principal, 20-year old actress, alleged yesterday she head been assaulted by Mr. Bernard Cornfield, the American financier. Miss Principal, who said she feared another attack, was granted an interim injunction restraining against her person. The injunction was granted by Judge Baxter at west London Country Court pending an action in January 23 in which Miss Principal is claiming 750 damages for alleged assault. Mr. Cornfield, 42, is founder of Investment Overseas Services, which nearly foundered earlier this year. The financier, which lives in a French chateu built by Napoleon in Geneva, is said to have a personal fortune of 50 million. He was voted out as the IOS chairman but has now returned to the board. Moss Principal, daughter of a retired United States Air Force sergeant-major, said in an affidavit hat she had lived with Mr. Cornfield for two years at West Halkin Street, Westminster, and at various addresses abroad. The affidavit alleged that Mr. Cornfield had slapped her across the face in a fearful temper last August. Last month she left West Halkin Street and moved to a flat in Charlwood Place, Westminster, to be away from him.
