Jun. 20, 1970 - Louis de Funes and Jean Lefevre are returning to play roles in the movie Le Gendarme en Balade, the fourth of a series in order to confront the young men who replaced them since their retirement'. In the movie, Louis de Funes saves Jean Lefevre from depression which had caused him to retire. In order to cure him, Louis de Funes takes the entire brigade to St. Tropez to relive the Antan saga. However, the soldiers who replaced them do not want to share their space and a war breaks out between the ancients and the moderns'.
