Jul. 18, 1973 - Jack Hawkins Dies: Jack Hawkins, the famous film star, died today at St. Stephen's Hospital, Fulham. He was 62. A hospital spokesman said he died of a secondary haemorrhage which occured after an corporation in New York to fit a box to impassive his speaking voice. The old not die from cancer of the larynx for which he underwent surgery about seven years ago, the spokesman said.
