Jan. 01, 1976 - Love Goddess Rita Hayworth causes a scene on her arrival at London's Heathrow Airport: Love goddess Rita Hayworth who created the famous film role of Gilda 30 years ago, caused a sensation when she refused to leave the aircraft on arrival at London's Heathrow Airport. Eventually Rita the woman who invented The Look in the forties had to be half carried down the aircraft steps her famous hair all over the place. A stewardess complained that Miss Haywarden had been drinking when she boarded the plane at Los Angeles and had several more drinks on the flight making a nuisance of herself. Rita is due to appear on a TV show on Friday.
