Oct. 23, 1974 - October 23rd, 1974 Lonely hearts appear on television Two lonely people, a girl of 24 and a boy of 22 last night appeared on Britain's first television marriage bureau. They spoke in the ITV Today programme about their unhappy romantic lives and their vain search to find marriage partners, then viewers interested in either lonely heart were invited to write to the studio. Full names of the boy and girl were kept secret and only Christina names were used. The girl was Bozena, a police clerk from Purley, Surrey, and the boy was Andy, a cockney, who now lives in Bethnal Green. Photo Shows: Bozena and Andy pictured last night after their TV appearance
