Jun. 15, 1976 - Telly Savalas says he was libelled by newspaper article: Telly Savalas, who plays the tough cop Kojak in the American TV Series, protected in the High Court yesterday that he was libelled by a Daily Mail article that described him as a bit-part actor who could not cope with his fame. He said the activities, did him a great disservice I objected because it represented everything I abhor in a human. Mr. Savalas is claiming damages against the publishers of the newspapers Photo shows Telly Savalas (Kojak) pauses to buy from a flag seller on his way to the Law Courts for the continuation of the libel action today
