1978 - JOSEF MEINRAD BECOMES 65 YEARS..becomes on April 21st, 1978 one of the best known and most favorite Austrian actors: JOSEF MEINRAD (picture). The Viennese, since 1948 actor at the famous Burgtheater in the Danube-metropolis, plays in film and tv, but about all on stage, many great parts of the universal literature. At the screen he was to see e.g. in Otto Preminger's Der Kardinal (The cardinal) and in Kaiserwalzer, on stage he played in numerous Moliere-and Nestroy-acts and as Don Quichotte of Cervantes famous story. Josef Meinrad got many awards and is holder of the Ifflandring (1959)
