1978 - Vanessa Redgrave starts filming Yanks': Fresh from winning her Oscar in Hollywood, Vanessa Redgrave is now in England to start the filming of Yanks'. Set in wartime England the film is being made from a story by Colin Welland, and directed by John Schlesinger. The film is being made in location in Yorkshire. Two new actresses will also star in the film, Lisa Eichborn, 25, and Wendy Morgan 20, they both play Northern girls who fall in love with American serviceman. The whole cast were at the Kensington Palace Hotel today where rehearsals are now being held, prior to start of shooting on location.
