Nov. 11, 1978 - The 65th Birthday Of Marika Rokk: Her 65 birthday. Marika Rokk the dancer, actress and singer could celebrate at November 3rd, 1978. She was born at 1913 as the daughter of Hungarian parents at Kairo, came in the age of 8 years to a dancing-school at Budapest. Later she became an dancing star in a circus and travelled with it through Europe and USA. 1934 followed her first appearance at an operetta at Viehna/Austria. That caused the high-spirited Marika Rokk became a star on stage, at film and also at TV. Her most successful films are: The Czardas-Princess, Mask in Blue, Light Cavallery, A Night in May, Hallo Janine, Kora Terry and Wife of my Dreams'. 1950 Marika Rokk was elected to the most beloved actoress of West-Germany. 1973 she was awarded with The Golden Batch of Honour of Vienna
