Aug. 08, 1980 - Albert Finney with The Two Salford Festival Queens Outside Buckingham Palace: Film star Albert Finney was outside Buckingham Palace today with the Two Salford Festival Queens Ellen Hanlon and Johan Drummond to present the replica of the Salford Charter to the first relay runner, when they arrive. Thirty Salfordians in relay will run through out the night from London to Salford, arriving their at about 11. This year is an important milestone in the history of Salford as it marks the 750th anniversary of the granting of its first Charter.
