Mar. 03, 1976 - Commemoration of Ferenc Rakoczi II: As a central event of a nationwide programme a festive meeting organised by the Presidential Council, the Council of Ministers and the National Council of the Patriotic People's Front was held here tonight at the Erkel Theatre to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Reigning Prince Ferenc Rakoczi II. He commanded the Hungarian war of independence against Hapsburg rule in the first decades of the 18th century.
