May 31, 1954 - On June 4 at 4:50 pm for the first time: This is the Free Berlin radio broadcast. Since the end of Grossdeutschen Rundfunks in the Third Reich Berlin now has a voice on the radio. Alfred Braun(pictured) will announce the time at 4:50 on June 1 and address his listeners. Now there will be more competitors on the air
