Abdel Rahman Bazzaz, former Prime Minister of Iraq

Jan. 01, 1969 - Iraq Hangs Fifteen People: The bodies of 11 people, convicted of spying for Israel by the Revolution Court, were hanging on scaffolds in Liberation Square, Baghdad, today. Baghdad Radio said three other spies were executed this morning in Basra, Southern Iraq. The radio had announced earlier that 15 Israeli spies were hanged, including nine Iraqi Jews. Ex-Premier Abdel Rahman Bazzaz and former Defence Minister Abdel Azis Okeilly were said to be involved in the plot.
