Jan. 01, 1953 - Rags the Terrier rescued from a fire; Rags a twelve year old terrier and his pal Pingpong the cat were trapped in a room when the home of Mrs. Burningham of Grove Park, . Denmark Hill, caught fire today. They were both overcome by the fumes and Pingpong died but Rags was saved by firemens and sent to the RSPCA establishment at Brixton and given oxygen which saved his life.
