Jan. 06, 1953 - 27 Killed In Air Crash. B.E.A. Chiefs today flew to Nutts Corner, the Airport for Belfast, to carry out on-the-spot investigations into the Viking crash last night which killed 27 people. The Viking has left on a schedule flight from Northolt. The disaster, one of the worst in the history of B.E.A. came only five days after a record year for the corporation in which more than 1, 300, 000 passengers were carried without fatality or injury.
