Aug. 21, 1954 - Dutch Ship Arrives in the Mersey with a List of 30 Degrees: Battered by gales in a ten-day trip from Sweden, the Dutch motor vessel Jan arrived in the Mersey, Liverpool, yesterday, with a list of more than 30 degrees.The list was caused by her deck cargo of timber being swollen by the heavy rain which came with the gale.This ship carries a crew of 11 - including the young wife of the Captain L.Bergsma, who has travelled thousands of miles with him on his voyages.
