Feb. 02, 1953 - The ruins of the railway car -: are gaping like the yawning abyss of death. The train crushed into the opposite train on the single-track railway - bridge in Heutingsheim/Wurtemberg between Ludwigsburg and Backnang. The engine - driver of the passenger train was jammed into the locomotive stand and died of the severs injuries. The stoker still hovers between life and death. 30 injured passengers were brought into the neighbouring hospitals
