Feb. 02, 1953 - Train trapped in Snowdraft: Clearing a path - Snow is piled high on and all around the rail way track. In the midst of its passenger train is trapped. And a party of workmen is digging a path for a rescue engine to reach it and take it on tow. This was the situation at Hindlow, near Buxton, yesterday. The passenger train became snowed up on the journey from Buxton to Uttoxeter
