Jul. 07, 1954 - Crash Pilot clings to wing - pier crowd sees rescue after sea crash off hastings; Hastings holiday makers saw a small plane dive into the sea of the coast yesterday. They saw the pilot, 27 year old Mr.Michael Hagey, of Subton Valence, Clamber out on to the wing. Then three swimmers splashed to the rescue. With a lifeboat and lifeline they landed both safely from 30 yards off shore.
