Accidents - Disasters - Fires - Floods - Tragedies

Mar. 07, 1956 - Villagers Watch Their Houses Split In Two As Earth Crumbles Due To Floods. Villagers of Campilli, Italy, watched their houses split in two as the foundations crumbled due to the water from melting snow infiltrating beneath their dwellings. There is nothing they can do except to save their furniture, etc and seek shelter elsewhere until the earth has dried out and they can repair the damages. Scores of houses have suffered the same fate in the villages of Campills, Massari and Pastinella in the sane area.
