Jul. 07, 1956 - Flood disaster in Northern Hesse.: Cloud bursts and endless rains raised up the floods which since days endanger the area of Northern Hesse. Mostly stricken by the high water were the cities of Volkmarsen and Bad Hersfeld, where street were covered with over ten feet of water.
