Jul. 07, 1956 - Forty People Killed In Greek Island Earthquake: At least forty people have died when an earthquake hit the Island of Santorini and destroyed or partly damaged 40 per cent of the buildings. The Greek Red Cross have erected emergency hospitals under Canvas and medical supplies have been rushed to the Islands to treat the injured.
