Jan. 01, 1956 - Fire Breaks out in Glasgow Vessel on Way to Copenhagen Crew Rescued. Fire broke out in the Glasgow Vessel Herriesburn en route to Copenhagen with a cargo of coal. The burning ship was adrift in the Kattegat. She was abandoned by her crew of 25 who were taken aboard the motor vessel ESSO of Nyborg, Denmark on the way to Frederikshaven, Jutland.
